Excellent cafe con leche! The tortillo tropico was LIFE! The food was great and everyone at the table was satisfied. Authentic Cuban food for the win!

Reminder : we are on vacation and this is the very first restaurant that we came across . Staff is very friendly . We were greeted right away and escorted to table right away .
Esperanza was our server and was the most sweet and attentive server . Our food was brought out in a timely manner . Didn't have to ask for much or anything at all
Food : WAS SO DELICIOUS . (I forgot to take pictures ) but everything was amazing . Nothing was cold , everything was fresh and Hot !
Definitely coming back while in Miami . -

Food was AMAZING! My fiancé and I came here bec this was just right across our hotel. I thought we were going to get some mediocre food. But we had a great meal! We came here on our first day for lunch then we made sure to come back before we leave. The staff was great too!

I was worried that I wouldn't receive good service based on the reviews I've read. That was not the case for me that day. I received great and quick service. My waitress was very friendly, quick and checked on my table often.
I started off with an appetizer, one empanada. The empanada was bigger than I expected. I'm glad that I opted for only 1 because I doubt I would have eaten my meal if I had ordered two.
I've never been a big fan of empanadas until that day. I recommend trying the empanada, you won't be disappointed.
There are plenty of options available on both the drink and food menu. I ordered an Mango Margarita and it was made just right. It was sweet but I could still taste the alcohol. For the entrée, I ordered the Fajitas De Churrasco with sides of plantains and yellow rice. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The two sides I selected were both great choices. In the end, I received a fairly large portion and ended up asking the waitress for a to-go box.
If you're in the Sunny Isles area, I recommended stopping by El Tropico.
